Luc’s Mexican Garcinia is a rare and highly regarded tropical fruit tree known for its exceptional flavor and attractive evergreen growth. The ‘Orangey’ selection of Luc’s Garcinia was spotted on a fruit picking safari. The ‘Orangey’ selection has excellent taste. While the original yellow fruit can be totally sweet when fully ripe, ‘Orangey’ produces stronger flavors consisting of mostly sweet but also with a splash of tartness. The skin is also thicker than the original selection, more like Achachairu, and is edible and crunchy. The flesh is also a deeper color than the yellow one.
